Staff Breakout Areas

Break out spaces are a relatively new addition to the office working landscape and the cited benefits of improved communication, reduced stress and increased creativity are widely trumpeted by more progressive organisations. Of course, break out areas have existed for centuries within schools in the form of staff rooms, and it is perhaps within care and educational environments that the demands are most varied and the benefits most valued. Staff break out areas provide respite from the stresses of the job, essential social contact and the opportunity to reconnect to the team. On a more practical level they can be a place to relax, have lunch, mark books and store personal items. Careful design can bring these elements together along with due consideration for natural light and planting, both of which can promote a sense of well being. Our furniture consultants are on hand to guide you through every step of the design process.
