Stamford Green School 

Stamford Green is a primary school in Epsom, Surrey, accommodating approximately 600 pupils, ranging from ‘rising fives’ to children of eleven. Our brief was to supply and install fixtures and furnishings to the library. One of the unique features of the installation is ‘The Well’ (shown overleaf); a centrally located rotunda within the library that provides both shelving to the outside wall and a secluded reading and listening space within. The centre of The Well is a circular projection screen mounted within the floor. It provides and stimulating kaleidoscope of light and images. The seating is in two tiers with removable upholstered seat pads.
