After a year of construction and restoration of a near-derelict Georgian and Victorian buildings, we were invited to work with the school to design and create inspiring, modern, state of the art teaching and administration spaces incorporating the interior colour scheme into the furniture.
With this project focusing on the design of the interior of the buildings, we provided floor finishes in the teaching and office spaces, and door signage in the corridors to compliment the furniture within the design. The school were also keen to protect the interior of the building in high traffic areas so a Diamond Glaze to corridor walls was applied and corner protectors fitted.
The classroom spaces were furnished with modern ergonomic poly shell chairs and sturdy metal framed tables, along with a Teaching Walls to provide essential storage alongside integrated ICT. Staff areas were furnished with a mixture of soft seating and task chairs to ensure areas had a duality of space for breakout and work. We also furnished the school dining hall with flexible seating solution and designed vinyl graphics for the interior walls.
“Morleys were invited to work with us to furnish our repurposed and restored Georgian and Victorian buildings.
The whole process was thorough and professional, with Morleys taking care of every aspect of the job for us, including refitting carpets and creating bespoke vinyl graphics, which look fantastic. Staff and pupils alike are thrilled with the results, and we cannot thank Morleys enough for their hard work in bringing the spaces to life once again.”
