The school were having an extension, with the main part being a new, open-plan library.
“From the beginning, the design process was different with Morleys. They took the time to come into school, look at the space for our library and talk to us about what we wanted to achieve.
We had a group of children involved in the design process and Morleys met with them and listened to their ideas. We are all delighted with the result – it is the loveliest room in our school.”
This was the design, supply and installation of furniture for over 70 rooms in a brand new state secondary school which will hold 1,200 students.
“As a company, Morleys have always been accurate with regard to manufacture and delivery times for items; however, they understand the academic year and so are pro-active in this regard because they can anticipate a client’s expectations with regard to installation taking place during the holiday periods.
Overall, it has been a pleasure to work with such a helpful group of professionals, from the design team to the installation team it has been a very positive experience.”

Modern desks and poly shell chairs were used throughout the classroom and study areas, with office spaces using task, or multi-purpose chairs. All 14 classrooms incorporated a teaching wall, enabling ICT elements to be integrated as well as providing essential storage.
An exisiting libraray space needed to be opened up and modernised for reading as well as small group work.
“During our initial meeting with the team at Morleys, we outlined our expectations for the refurbishment of our library space. The team worked quickly and professionally to ensure all of our ideas were included in the final design. The whole process was easy and stress free, and resulted in a wonderful space where our children love to read.”
The school needed their refurbished Georgian and Victorian buildings fully furnished to reflect their modern usage.
“Morleys were invited to work with us to furnish our repurposed and restored Georgian and Victorian buildings.
The whole process was thorough and professional, with Morleys taking care
of every aspect of the job for us, including refitting carpets and creating bespoke vinyl graphics, which look fantastic. Staff and pupils alike are thrilled with the final results, and we cannot thank Morleys enough for their hard
work in bringing the spaces to life once again.”
In 2017 the school started a large project to refurbish 8 classrooms, 3 ICT suites and an LRC.
“Morleys provided us with a personal and professional service.
From chosing chairs and tables for classrooms, to providing a design service for more sophisticated schemes, they were informative and flexible to our needs.
We are really pleased with the results.”
