EN 1729 Standards Explained
The EN 1729 standard for classroom furniture provides essential dimensions for a child's wellbeing. Morleys recommends you consult these standards before making a purchasing decision. The new standard is split into two parts:
- Part 1 for size and dimensions of products - ensures correct seating posture.
- Part 2 for strength and stability - checks product safety in use and ensures products will stand up to classroom demands.
Any product must pass both parts to fully comply with EN 1729. Products that meet these standards are highlighted.
